NEW COMPANION ANIMAL QUALIFICATIONS LAUNCHED

The International Technical Rescue Association with support of its members developed new qualifications for companion animal rescue.

The three new qualification levels at responder, technician and advanced, have been drafted by leading authorities in animal rescue such as Eric Thompson (Code 3), Steve Glassey (founder of SPCA Rescue and Animal Evac NZ), and Jennifer Rizzi (Animal Rescue Technician II). The updated suite of ITRA qualifications including companion animal rescue is now available for download. If you are an active instructor of technical animal rescue, we are considering applications for new instructors. The Association would like to thank the members of the working group and those who made submissions for their assistance in creating this global qualification.
