As the world comes to terms with the impacts of COVID-19, the ITRA Board of Directors have issued a position statement.
To all members,
We would like to acknowledge the challenges the global COVID-19 pandemic is having on our members.
We ask that any ITRA related activities are conducted consistently to the instructions given by your respective local health officials and that you take the necessary precautions to keep yourselves and others safe. Additionally, the World Health Organization has supplementary information available at https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019
We remind instructors and assessors that they are to have safety/risk plans in place for their activities. We recommend that these are updated to ensure the risk of COVID-19 is managed appropriately and the related precautions are communicated with students and the like.
For international travel please check your government’s official advice. Additionally, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has updates for international travellers. https://www.iata.org/en/youandiata/travelers/health/
As the industry recovers from this crisis, ITRA is working hard in the background to ensure enhancements to our assessment systems are expedited, as well as working on other initiatives to assist in giving our instructors further competitive advantages to support the recovery of their businesses.
